With the release of the S550 Mustang, the first production Mustang with an IRS since the 03/04 Cobra, Steeda knew addressing the IRS system would be a top priority. As with any suspension system, deflection is a problem when a piece is moving, twisting, or vibrating when it should be stationary - one of the key areas Steeda focused on was the rear IRS subframe.
Steeda's Mustang Rear IRS Subframe Braces for 2015+ Fastback (non-convertible) coupe Mustang GT, GT350, EcoBoost, and V6 are built in-house from 4130 chrome moly steel and powdercoated silver metal flake. The braces tie together 3 important points on the S550/S650 chassis - existing threaded holes in the rocker panel (the strongest part of the body), the front mounting location of the IRS subframe, and the rear mount of the lower control arm and toe link - adding rigidity and control without any permanent modification.
