Once aftermarket shocks started coming out for the S550 Mustang, customers across the country ran into issues breaking the factory rear shock mount. Steeda's team came up with a solution: billet 6061 aluminum mounts designed to replace the weak cast factory units. These S550/S650 mounts feature a Steeda-spec stainless steel spherical Teflon-lined bearing for optimum performance and control, and unlike other aftermarket mounts, they're compatible with adjustable shocks that use a top-mounted adjuster. Steeda designed the kit to provide 1/4" more clearance for wide rear tires. This kit fits Steeda Adjustable Pro-Action Shocks, Koni Adjustable Shocks, and other aftermarket shocks with a 12mm shaft. Pair with Steeda Rear Shock Mount Covers (555-8163) to keep the bearings protected from the elements.
