Steeda HARDCORE Mustang Billet Rear Shock Mount - 10mm (2015-2026)
Note: This is a HARDCORE part intended for high-performance applications and may introduce NVH.
Once aftermarket shocks started coming out for the S550 Mustang, customers across the country ran into issues breaking the factory rear shock mount — whether drag racing or road racing with very stiff shocks. Steeda's team came up with a solution: billet 6061 aluminum mounts designed to replace the weak cast factory units. Unlike the factory mounts, which have a rubber bushing that binds and deteriorates over time on lowered cars or cars with aggressive shock settings, these feature a Steeda-spec stainless steel spherical Teflon-lined bearing for optimum performance and control. Unlike other aftermarket mounts, these are compatible with adjustable shocks that use a top-mounted adjuster, and Steeda designed the kit to provide 1/4" more clearance for wide rear tires on S550/S650 Mustangs.
This kit fits all popular 10mm thread sizes: 10mm x 1.0 (Steeda Non-Adjustable Pro-Action Shocks, Koni Non-Adjustable Shocks, KW V3 Adjustable Shocks), 10mm x 1.25 (aftermarket shocks), and 10mm x 1.5 (OE Ford Shocks, Viking Shocks, Ford Racing Shocks). If running stock shocks now with a future upgrade to Pro-Action in mind, no drilling is required — these mounts are upgradable with a simple spacer and nut change (555-8153). Pair with Steeda Rear Shock Mount Covers (555-8163) to keep the bearings protected from the elements.
Note: Not compatible with MagneRide applications or Bilstein suspension. US Patent No.: US D814,287 S.
