One of the challenges with a Gen Iii Hem swap is alternator clearance to the frame on the passenger side of the engine. The factory car style accessory drive system has the alternator mounted low & it gets into the frame in some applications (i.e.
1972-1993 Dodge D100/D150, and 1997-2004 Dodge Dakota Swaps). This alternator bracket mounts the small Holley alternator (197-302 or 197-303) low and inward for extra clearance.
Fits Gen Iii Hemi engines with Vvt & car style factory accessory drive systems. Steel construction with black powder coated finish.
The Holley alternators are smaller & shorter than other alternators and easy to wire. The Holley alternator 197-302 & 197-303 does not require the factory Mopar ECU to excite the alternator, so it can be used with any engine control system (i.e.
Terminator X, Dominator, and HP EFI systems).
