Chrome Moly is nearly twice as strong as mild steel but can be bent without shattering it otherwise how else would we make K-members out of it? If you were to take a piece of 1.50\" diameter x .083\" wall Chrome Moly tubing and a piece of 1.50\" diameter x .120\" wall Mild Steel and bent both with a tight radius, beyond a 90* angle, the Chrome Moly being a harder metal would crack before the mild steel would do the same thing.
